Bombay Ink and Watercolour on 10x10 Ampersand Claybord 3mm thick.

Inspired by the empty blackbird nests we often find each autumn when we cut back the shrubs that surround our patio each year. Even though nests appear so worn and forlorn, it is a lovely reminder that new life was born in them and the little birds fledged and went on to live in and around the local gardens and countryside.

These panels are sealed and ready to be framed without glass. Your local framer will be able to advise to suit your home, but I recommend a wide frame in a neutral colour.

Please note that whilst every effort has been made to make the online photo as close a representation to the original painting as possible, due to differing computer screen calibrations, light and photographing the overall colour may differ slightly in real life.

This painting has been sealed with an archival fix so that the textural surface is protected against dust and dirt and moisture. To clean it, I recommend a very soft brush (like a large make-up brush) to dust the surface of the painting.
