Fine Art paintings inspired by the magic of wild landscapes
and the beauty of nature.

My work explores wild landscapes, wildlife, and my connection to nature. I use acrylic and ink, layering colour and texture to capture tranquil moments and evoke emotion. My process involves observing nature on location, sketching ideas, and experimenting with composition and materials to express curiosity and wonder. Each piece invites viewers to pause and reflect, reminding us of nature’s vital presence. Through my art, I aim to connect people, encourage understanding, and inspire reflection.

I gather my inspirations for artworks out on location, usually in a rural setting in Suffolk, Norfolk and Yorkshire, capturing wild landscapes. I also like to get out to the beautiful Suffolk Coast and Heaths OANB for the occasional coastal painting, especially when the heather is in full bloom, or during the autumn when the beautiful birch trees are loosing their leaves.

I also have the pleasure of teaching workshops and courses at Stoke Bridge Workshops in Ipswich. This gives me the chance to demonstrate the joy of painting in watercolour or acrylic, inspiring leisure learners to see the world from a different perspective. Learning watercolours was the turning point for me in my art career, so I love to give back by teaching others the subtleties of painting too.
