"Making art is like the natural growth and rhythm of the landscapes I portray – it starts with a seed and flourishes at its own pace, giving rise to depth, texture and vibrancy.

I am particularly inspired by the epic scenes and atmosphere of wild landscapes and nature.

Curious about the secrets it holds, I like to find ways to convey the way I feel when I am out on location.

I love the seemingly random way nature presents itself, knowing that under that guise there is pattern, meaning and fragility to its very existence.

In each stroke of paint on the surface of a new painting I am expressing that intuitive movement that wild landscapes show us if we just watch for a little while.

There, I am in my element."
