Since I committed to #artistsupportpledge I have been infused with new energy to paint. I am enjoying painting smaller paintings on different surfaces from paper to wood slices.
It has been great to have a purpose to paint. This year has been difficult with postponed and cancelled exhibitions and opportunities to develop. But it is wonderful to have customer contact through the online shop, and I am so looking forward to meeting more customers in person at shows in 2021.

A customer asked me yesterday what I am planning for next year in terms of painting series. I can reveal now that I am planning a new series featuring landscapes with wildlife (birds, foxes and badgers) in scenes other than snow! Plus my favourite subject - just trees in wild landscapes.
However, before that I need to do the annual studio tidy that will put my space in order ready for the New Year. I am in discussions with 12+Arts about our summer exhibition and I will no doubt have more to share about other shows in time.
Meanwhile I am preparing for a quiet Christmas with my husband and the dog. I hope you are also able to have a healthy and relaxed time.
